Hosted by Murray Foster of Great Big Sea, the evening will feature performances by:

The Cocksure Lads – Described by the Toronto Star as “the biggest ‘60s Britpop band that never existed,” The Cocksure Lads play retro pop that sounds like early-Beatles crossed with Gerry and the Pacemakers, with a bit of 70’s rock for good measure. Led by former Moxy Fruvous bandmates Murray Foster and Mike Ford, The Cocksure Lads performed on CBC’s Dragons’ Den as part of a successful pitch for funds to complete Foster’s feature film The Cocksure Lads Movie.

The Lesters – Musical accomplices for over fifteen years, The Lesters have been accused by some of living in the past. A common love of timeless songwriting and classic jazz has long kept this vocal trio exploring arrangements and playing for appreciative audiences whenever the opportunity strikes. Paying tribute to favourites like the King Cole Trio, Ray Charles and Fats Waller, The Lesters draw from a broad range of influences and have been known to occasionally unleash original music on an unsuspecting crowd. Featuring pianist Jeff Ulster, Murray Foster on bass and Tory Cassis on guitar and vocals, The Lesters like to offer something old, something new.

Elise LeGrow – Elise’s eclectic music tastes have largely informed her development as a vocalist, with influences ranging from the sticky pop sounds of Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston, to classic jazz and most recently, early soul and blues. Her song, “No Good Woman,” spent 13 weeks in the Top 10 at Adult Contemporary Radio in 2012 and was nominated for Song of The Year at the 2013 Canadian Radio Music Awards.

Lonny’s Smile Foundation is a grassroots, not-for-profit children’s initiative launched in 2010 to honour the memory of Lonny Brent Doerksen, brother of Foundation Founder and CEO, Tamara Doerksen. Lonny passed away in 1971 at the tender age of five at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto after surgery to correct a congenital heart defect.

Lonny’s Smile Foundation sends children with congenital heart disease to summer camp so that they can experience the typical elements of childhood such as play, friendship, laughter and adventure. Lonny’s Smile also encourages kids to lead local fundraisers, and thus help other kids.

To date, Lonny’s Smile Foundation has raised $100,000, helping send more than 100 kids with congenital heart disease to summer camp. Over 95% of all funds raised by Lonny’s Smile goes directly to helping kids with special hearts.
